Well, this is pretty subjective, but I'd check out:

Pirates: COTBP
Apocalypto
Planet Earth
Underworld
Kingdom of Heaven

Also, check out the Tier System thread (sticky at the top of the forum) and
pick out what you like that's in tier 2, 1, or 0.

Hairspray - Excellent musical, and terrific picture quality and sound. Great full-movie experience, too, with "Behind the Beat." Make sure you play it that way once you have seen it normally the first time. I also just discovered this afternoon, you can do a video jukebox of just the numbers in the film.

Ratatouille - Wonderful film, and the PQ is astounding. Make sure you also highlight the Cine-Explore feature.

The Searchers - a John Wayne film from the 50s which looks like it was shot today.

The Patriot - again, exception picture quality. And a good film, too.

Pirates of the Caribbean - all three

2001: A Space Odyssey - I never cared much for the film but the graphics are wonderful.

The Shining - Excellent restoration. A "shining' example.

That should start you off.

The Simpsons Movie - If you don't have the DVD, get the Blu-ray version. If you have the DVD, don't get the Blu-ray version, I posted some comparison pics on my blog until my site is ready for primetime.

Hairspray: Best musical out in high def so far, and the PQ and AQ is really great. Best PiP track I've seen yet, goes VERY well with the movie, should be experienced at least once.

Lost Season 3: If you like the show this is a NO BRAINER

Ratatouille: I thought it was okay, but everyone else seems to love it, and the PQ and AQ is great.

Scary Movie: OMG GREAT pq, and one of the funniest movies of all time imo.

The Devil Wears Prada: I really liked this movie, great PQ and great AQ.

Don't forget Casino Royale. It's an excellent film with a good AVC MPEG4 video presentation as well as a stellar LCPM uncompressed audio track, far clearer and more balanced than the standard Dolby 5.1 track on the SD DVD.

Now's a good time to get a number of the films mentioned here. Starting today, Amazon has a great Buy One, Get One Free Blu-ray sale (96 titles in all), including Harry Potter, Die Hard, Hairsprsy and more!
