Default Older Bond movies coming out?

Anyone hear anything on the HD versions of the old Bond movies? This is one major reason I initially backed Blu-Ray so I'm anxiously awaiting these!!

This is a guess but I bet I am right.

In November 2008 Bond 22 is coming out(or Bond 2 if you will what with the restart) so I think that will be the time for the older films to hit Blu-ray as a great bit of cross promotion. I think this will be UK only however at first judging by what happened with Bond on DVD. In the UK we got seperate releases and the SE,UE's before North America. North America sadly got those awful boxsets where it was a real mismash of films thown together with little thought. Hopefully this won't happen with Blu-ray.

Sony will release the films hopefully as well as that will mean they will be region free(Sony European catalogue titles have no region encoding) so I can use them on my Region A player. If its MGM im screwed as it will be done though Fox. For the record the UE's are released in the UK by Sony with MGM's logo on it.

It would be great if they released the lot. And yeah, unfortunately Fox region code backcatalog titles.

I just hope they get competent people encoding the HD source material, unlike the last DVD release where Lowry's work was in a lot of cases violated by poor encoding...

I doubt the Bond BR will be UK only in november, the Pal DVDs came out first (and were full or remastering errors, some corrected on the R1 discs later) basically because MGM europe needed some quick cash, so they rushed them out.
With BR, it's obvious they will appear day and date worldwide. However, I hope they correct most of the problems the DVD have, if not, these release will be sub-par.

Since the two kissed and made up, I'm guessing we'll see the wacky version of Casino Royale with the other Bond BD releases? XD

I don't think this release is under EON control, so who knows, the remaster thought have been anounced on SD for a while.

just watched ( Her Majesty's Secret Service ) in HD on Cable and it looked really good especially for a old movie.
