Default I was thinking about buying the Halloween Blu-ray...

but it seems that on this great website, they gave it a 1.5/5 for video quality and 2.5/5 for audio. But on other websites they gave it great video and great audio?

Can somebody who owns it do me a favor and post screen caps from it, so I can see what the image looks like? Anything you feel has incredible detail?

In the review, they had a link to a forum in which they only showed you ONE image that was compared to detail, as opposed to color timing issues(which I don't care for).

I would greatly appreciate it.

I cant post pics right now but to most people Halloween looks great in high-def. The only reason it got a low score was because it was not presented as the director intended. I was impressed by how much cleaner it looked in high def.

By all means, buy it. It's the best it has ever looked.

Not exactly right. Dean Cundey, the DP apparently did not approve. Carpenter could care less as long as he gets a check.

I was worried at first to, but it ended up better than I thought! I would recommend it, especially if you already like it to begin with.

irrob, your likage is so much appreciated as i missed that thread. I bought the new dvd edition, and was utterly appauled at how bad the pq was on it. It was just too dark to see anything for too long of periods of time. Those pics make me want the brd, thanks!

Halloween on BD is definitely a good transfer, and the best it's looked on home video. If you like the movie, pick it up. Shadow detail is excellent, and there's really nothing wrong with the coloring from my point of view.
