Anyone order POTC-ATW from Amazon prime, shipped via DHL? Did you get yours yet? Was expecting mine today-tracking says out for shipment. But it's freakin 8pm! Just sent Amazon an e-mail. Why the fuck they didn't stick with UPS is beyond me (I asked them that in the e-mail too).

That is odd, because DHL is even more expensive than FedEX and UPS... If 95% of Amazon customers (swag figure) get free shipping, why would they go with a more expensive carrier?...

In the e-mail, I did ask why go with DHL since UPS works so well for them. Hopefully they'll give me a straight answer. I'll post any updates.

I never get my movies on release day when I pre-order with Amazon (I have PRIME too).

Today, I received an email that my PoTC 3, which I pre-ordered some 8 weeks ago, has shipped via UPS and should be here tomorrow.

So, they waited until a day after release and sent it overnight.

There's got to be a serious money leak in that company.

As a side note, I ordered two Blu-ray movies yesterday morning and a CD in the evening. Both showed up today.

Whenever I order from Amazon things take weeks to arrive.

Hell, when I pre-ordered DragonForce's Inhuman Rampage (over a year ago), it still hadn't shipped three weeks after the release date, so I canceled the order and picked it up at Best Buy. I usually get my cds from Amazon because most of the bands I like (power metal, melodic death metal, etc.) are hard to come by in B&M stores, but they still had the album since it was a new release of a relatively popular band.

I pre-ordered PotC3 from Amazon and it says it should be here by the 11th. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't show.

Update:
It just arrived. A DAY LATE. Overall, I'm not pleased with Amazon's decision to ship via DHL. This was the first time it was done that way. Hopefully it's the last. Now to see if it freezes up my PS3...
