Default Harry Potter 5 - Region Free

Just got my Blu Ray copy of Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix today and wanted to let you know that it plays perfectly on my region A PS3 even though its the UK release.

The Picture quality is spot on! With the deep blacks looking great and the picture looking perfect, the sound thumps as well, it has a PCM 5.1 track and Dolby Digital 5.1 as well

Would recommend !

Cant wait for my imports of the other 4 films from the States !

Something is very strange in this format war. Us brits normally are treated as 2nd class citizens with DVD releases, especially when DVD first came out. This time around some high profile movies are coming out here a week or 2 ahead of the US.

Great! I've got my box set pre-ordered from Amazon. My wife and I are big HP fans (first the books and now the films) so it's part of her birthday gift in December.

Dont forget Pirates 3 out today in the U.K on Blu

It is good we are getting them early, but pricing stinks, Spidey box set on Sendit.com was great value 32.89 in comparision to the States, where as Harry Potter 5 cost me 16.89 = $33.78, which is what each Potter 1-5 costs in the U.K, compared with 12.50 each for Potter 1-4 which I've preordered from Amazon.com inc postage, wheres the love?

Pirates 3 in U.K costs 23.99 on Play!! Crazy pricing, Amazon US $23.95 so even with shipping and using an exchange rate of 1.90 you can get it for 16

Dont get me wrong I'm just bitter the U.K gets the crappest prices, I mean alot of these films seem to be straight ports of the U.S masters, if they want High Def across the board to take off they are going to have to readjust pricing, this is as bad as '97 getting butt holed on pricing again compared to the States.......
