Default Blu-Rays for Teens

For Christmas, I found out my that my friends are adding an HDTV and PS3 to their den. As a gift, I was hoping to purchase 1-2 BD's to get them instreted in Hi-Def Media. The problem is, I'm not 100% family titles would work good. The kids ages are 15, 14, and 12. What would be the best Blu-Rays to get them, and please include those being released later this year. Thank you so much!!

Personally I would recommend at least one animated title. As a fact, most animated movies are not just for kids anymore. I enjoy some animated titles myself. For the other, any one of the highest rated (picture quality wise) would be a good choice. Check out the sticky in the Blu-Ray area (link below) to help you select a good video to showcace BR.

If you are looking for titles not yet released, then you would be on your own there. With movies that are not released it will be difficult to guage the picture quality, etc. without any reviews. I doubt you want to give a title with a terrible transfer??

If there boys I'd definitely recommend Casino Royale. My teenage son loved it. Lest we forget it's a very nice looking disc so show up how great HD movies can look.

Id say something along the lines of Xmen or something. Action, but nothing that might offend their parents.

Just from my collection: 50 First Dates, Click, Disturbia (if you can find it on BD), Employee of the Month, Night at the Museum, Pirates of the Caribbean (all three), RV, Scary Movie, Spider-man trilogy, Ratatouille, and Cars. I believe Mr. and Mrs. Smith also comes out later this year at the beginning of Dec.
