Default Spiderman Trilogy is an awesome deal.

Honestly, I was surprised on how much they oput into the box. for 70 dollars you have Spiderman 1 in HD, Spiderman 2 in HD, Spiderman 2.1 in HD, Spiderman 3 in hd, adn you have the disc that came in the collectors edition.
Look at it this way: Spiderman 3 costs about 29.99.

If you bought both Spiderman 1 and 2 on Blu-ray seperately, they would cost you about 25 dollars each at least. Not to mention you have 2.1 in their. So it would cost you all together more than 70 bucks.

I honestly think Sony could have charged as much as 80 or 90 bucks for this.

I suppose it is if you are really into this release (I'm still bugged by stuff even though I bought it), but why did this need its own thread? Couldn't you have just posted this in the trilogy review thread?

I only want to buy spiderman 1. And spiderman 1 has the worst PQ and 0 special features.

Even with amazons discount at $64.95 it's still more than $20 a title for two movies that are bare bones.

The price is OK for HD but not an "amazeing" deal. Pretty much the same price as the Mission Impossible HD trilogy and every one of their disks had special features.

$70?? I picked it up for $60 at Best Buy today.

Haven't watched them all yet (Guitar Hero 3 is taking all my time), but Spidey 3 looked pretty amazing!

I prefer spidey 2.1 there are new scenes and alternate scenes that I think work for the better.. specially in the first 30 minutes of the film.

I got the trilogy set.. did a price match with wal-mart with the best buy ad.. all 3 films look awesome in bluray.

Wow, I can see not wanting Spiderman 3 but how could you not want Spiderman 2? That one blew the first one out of the water!
Anyway, bought it today and watched part 1, and pretty much agree with the review. Most of the movie the picture upgrade is quite noticeable, but every now and again not so much. Best example is the last scene in the cemetery, which to me looked exactly like my old DVD version (the regular edition, not the superbit version!)
I agree it's definitely a good deal at Best Buy right now if you want Spiderman 3. If you didn't, its like paying $30 a pop for the first 2 which isn't absolutely outrageous but not too great either, especially with no extras (Although how many of you don't own the regular DVDs with the extra disc already anyway?).

For the record, I thought Spiderman 3 was overall the weakest of the 3 movies but I still liked it and was planning to get it anyway. If I didn't want it, I probably would have passed and waited for a seperate release of Spiderman 2.1, which might be the best idea if you didn't want part 3 and already own the superbit of part 1.
