Default Amazon price problem

I placed a pre-order for the Spider-Man High Def Trilogy on Sunday. I also ordered a few other Blu ray's with it to help with the shipping. One of them was RoboCop. Last night the price for it was $27.99. Today, I see that Amazon lovered the price to $23.99 for it. When my items shipped this afternoon I see that I was still charged the original $27.99. I thought that if you ordered an item and the price goes down before it is shipped to you Amazon gives you the lowered price. I looked on their site but I couldn't find a customer service email address.

Can anyone let me know if they have had a similar experience?

Here is the sale it you are interested:

I noticed this earlier today also. I read the thread about the Die Hard Trilogy getting a price cut but in my account on Amazon it still shows my pre-order has the original price which is $8 more. I will recheck it tomorrow to see if it has dropped to the new price.

If they charge you the higher price I would just send them an e-mail or give them a call. I have had to talk to Amazon customer service a few times and they have been very good in my experience.

It looks like I was charged the old price. Do you happen to have the email. I must be blind, I can't see it anywhere on Amazon.

Click on "help" in the top right corner (next to "your account", "Cart", etc) and then on the right side click the customer service button.

They have an option to have them call you which is really cool because it makes it so you don't have to deal with an automated call screener asking a million questions . I used that last time instead of an e-mail and they call you as soon as you hit the button. You may want your phone close by or get ready to run.

Hope that helps.

I had a weird price thing today with my Spiderman Trilogy. They charged me the price without the 10% off even though it had had the discount the entire time.

I e-mailed them.... hopefully they fix it all up. The usually do.

Have no fear, Amazon will always do right by you. If they charged you the higher price, they will refund you the difference and they will do it FAST.

that seems to of been a problem with everyone who ordered it that had the 10 percent. I looked at the status of my order today and it showed a refund credit for me.

Also, to the original poster just call amazon. You have 30 days from the day of purchase to get a refund if the price is lowered. Yesterday they gave me a refund on robocop, 28 weeks later and days after tomorrow. Great customer service

Mabey I should have waited before e-mailing, I only got 6.50 back when it should have been 7.08. I did get 5.00 back from Transformers and Robocop when it should have been closer to 4.50 so I guess that evens it out.

Thanks for the heads up, emailed Amazon about Day after tomorrow and Transformers and they refunded the difference within 10 hours, they said as it was a price drop so soon after release they would refund the difference

Thats customer service !
