Default For those of you who bought Halloween and Dawn of the Dead on Blu-ray....

IS it any good? I love the movies and I think its one of those Hall of famer movies of there genre, but wasnt sure how good of a BD Release it was. THis site didnt score it well, but IGN gave it a 8 out of 10. They also gave Dawn of the dead a 8 out of 10. Should I honestly buy these movies?

Do not use IGN for Blu-ray reviews. All they do is rehash their old reviews.

Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition Review (DVD)

Dawn of the Dead (Blu-ray)

Its the same F'in review. THE EXACT SAME. It's pretty sad.

Also I would like to know whether I should buy the Blu-ray or the Ultimate Edition 4 disc set since they are the same price. Is the increase in PQ and AQ in the Blu-ray edition worth sacrificing the extras in the Ultimate Edition?

Dawn of the dead looks amazing. Very happy with it. Pq is at least 4/5. Good movie all around too.

Halloween was excellent as well, screw the negative reviews.

BOth were 24.99.. total came out to be like 53 bucks at BB -_-V

Thumbs up Halloween looks good!

I received both discs from Amazon yesterday (along with Day of the Dead), and I watched Halloween last night. I'd never seen the movie before (hard to believe--I know), and I think the Blu-ray disc looks great! I didn't watch Dawn of the Dead yet, but I did scan a few scenes from the disc and it looked pretty good, too.

I have no reservations about recommending the Blu-ray version of Halloween.

Day of the dead looked terrible.. I have a feeling it'll get the worst PQ rating of any blu ray.. it's that bad.. Im pissed I bought it.. expecting something decent.

I'm very pleased with Halloween. It's the best it has looked on any format I've ever seen it on.

I just watched Dawn of the Dead and I was impressed, although the last time I saw this movie was on VHS... I wasn't expecting a lot since the movie is nearly 30 years old, but for $20 it is worth a buy...
