Oh please, I think almost everyone would prefer Transformers over the horrendous SPIDER-MAN 3

Spiderman was a universal flop. Transformers, well, it was far and few for those who hated it.

I am sure we will be seeing transformers goodies all over just like the promo for spidey.

Evidently not.

Rottentomatoes:

Spider-Man 3 62%

Transformers 57%

Being throughly objective you could tear both films to shreads for their artistic merits (or lack thereof)..but that's not the point, is it? Despite their numerous flaws, both these films are perfect fodder for Hi-Def and both will be lapped up, particularly by the XBox/PS3 demographics. However, if i were a gambling man, i'd put money on Spidey outselling Transformers..and considerably so....especially with Sony's aggresive marketing campaign.

I can pull plenty of stats that would say transformers rated higher as well. But from the board, other forums, general population, Spiderman 3 was a flop...a disgrace to the other two movies. Sure, it will sell to complete the trilogy, but I wouldn't bet my bottom dollar it outsells Transformers. They are going to be marketing just as hard for it, and not to sell the DVD or HD DVD, but just to promote other items.

User rating:

Transformers: 81%
Spider Man 3: 63%

Critics rating:
Transformers: 57%
Spider Man 3: 62%

Critics somehow have different tastes than general public.

Universal flop? Ho, ho, ho, fiction can be fun.

How, pray tell, would an amazing $890,000,000 worldwide total ($200,000,000 more than Transformers btw) constitute it being a 'flop'?
