Default Matrix on Blu Ray?

I was going to buy matrix the other day on hd-dvd and my buddy told me not to that they were releasing a better version on Blu-Ray, Is this true? Ive looked at release dates and seen nothing.

nope, and ask your buddy what he means by a "better" blu-ray version! Nothing is even announced.

Warner always uses the exact same encode for all their Blu-ray and HD DVD releases. They will be identical.

thanks guys, he said, well since it came out on hd dvd it will come to brd cause the company goes both ways and why he said it will be better since its gonna have java on the brd

The video and the audio are gonna be identical for sure. and as far as I know, BD-Java has the same advantages as iHD(HDi) on HD DVD. So your gonna get the exact disk(s) on BD, the only difference is that you have to wait for at least 4+ months.

why would it matter ? Both HD DVD and Blu-ray will co-exist for at least 18 more months , and this guy is neutral.
