Basically, the main improvement over the 2011 release is the audio?

Even if they find the original video negatives I doubt they'd do the VFX over. I could maybe see them doing a mix, where scenes with the digital VFX are left with broadcast upscales and the rest of the scenes that only use practical effects are remastered? Dunno.

I believe the DTS-HD MA 5.1 mixes are the same as the 2011 sets - but this was the first time I was able to engage DTS Neural:X which I thought gave the mix an extra punch. ALSO - I don't believe the previous set featured the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series. I could be wrong on that.

Yeah, you had to purchase that separately, I'm pretty sure. I think I did anyway.
