Someone did a UPC search for spine number 1000 -- apparently Criterion has a system to make the spine number and UPC number similar in some way.

I agree, wait and see. I was hoping to see Spine 1000 reserved for a true 4K release.

I'd say a complete Showa era of Godzilla movies in one box set definitely deserves the 1000 spine though as this is something that was seen to be impossible a decade ago given how many companies owned the rights to each movie.
