Default Kino bringing 5 Spike Lee Joints to Blu-ray!

Final specs and release dates aren't known, but they're on deck to be released throughout late 2018/2019.
We'll keep you posted as we learn more. Got fond memories of Jungle Fever, Clockers, and Summer of Sam. Anyone else have a favorite on this list?

Summer of Sam has always been one of my personal favourites. Nice to see KL re-releasing this one, but I'll probably pass on their release unless they get a lot of new interviews with the cast/crew. If not, then I'm perfectly happy with my Touchstone blu-ray.

Oh man, when did Touchstone release this on Blu-ray? Totally missed that on my radar. I worked at a movie theater the summer this came out, the flick may have flopped but it had staying power in my town, went to it at least 3-4 times, was always a creepy favorite of mine

It was released by Touchstone in a "Spike Lee Joint" 2-pack (came bundled with Miracle at St. Anna). I didn't know about it for the longest time either until I happened to stumble upon it by accident. Spike Lee and John Leguizamo sat down for a brand new commentary track for it too. The PQ and AQ for it were excellent as well. I believe the set is out of print now, BUT it is still available in the Disney Movie Club I believe (well, until stock runs out I guess). While Kino is re-issuing it, it's probably safe to say that the PQ and AQ will be the same, but not a guarantee that the Lee/Leguizamo commentary will be carried over. Kino's facebook page stated that a new historian commentary track was recorded though.

Here's a pic of the Touchstone release:
