Default MacGyver: The Complete First Season coming October 30

Apparently, the Blu-rays will be made from pencil shavings, bubble gum, and coconut tanning oil.

Again, thank you CBS/Paramount for bringing us quality tv shows. I am pleasantly surprised to see this is the original series, not the reboot.
Just like the Charmed announcement, I will strongly consider it, but not for Star Trek kind of money. But even for Star Trek, why was it always cheaper overseas?

Price point I suspect will go down closer to street date - I'm only holding off in case they "upgraded" its aspect ratio like the Hulu HD presentations for MASH

Should be 4:3 and they matted to 16:9 for MASH?
I know unlike many movies of the era, tv shows were primarily shot for 4:3, so matting it for 16:9 means you LOSE detail.

Yeah they adjusted it from original broadcast to 16:9 to their credit it looks pretty great but there are a number of wide shots of characters walking the camp that werent only cropped but severely zoomed in to thw point theyre out of focus blobs im 3 seasons in on this new presentation and there are only a couple shots like that.

So, catering to the Joe-Six pack crowd, as opposed to the enthusiasts and buffs. Remember years ago when we had tube tvs and Widescreen versions of movies were less popular.
