I have not seen this show for reasons you can probably guess.

Does this show sort of break the timeline like Enterprise did?

I've heard good things so will probably blind buy this, my Star Trek appetite is insatiable.

Yes, it does in the second half. But with the level of advanced technology they have compared to the 60s series, it feels like the timeline was broken before the show even began.

This show is as much Star Trek as the J.J. Abrams movies. It is full of poorly written stories and action, although it does get better about halfway through. Discovery is almost as good as Season 2 of TNG. Also, keep in mind Star Trek: Discovery is produced by the same guy that wrote Transformers 2, and is the same sort of entertainment.

Which means I'll never watch it. Thanks

Hopefully the new series with Patrick Stewart will be much better.

The preview for Season 2 of Discovery looks to be more like The Orville.

So this finally arrived from best buy. Itís my first time watching the series since I didnít want to subscribe to CBSí streaming service.

While watching the special features, theyíll often show clips from the show and I noticed that the Klingon subtitles in these clips use a simple but stylized font that subtly reinforces the awsthetic design of the Klingons.

However, when you watch the episodes themselves it seems you only get very generic and ugly system subtitles, which I found incredibly disappointing.

Additionally, the blu-ray seems to lack the Klingon language subtitles that were available on the Netflix stream.
