Default I need your help! What BD releases of the Lethal Weapon movies has Director's Cut

I'm trying to figure out which release of each Lethal Weapon includes the Director's Cuts of each film. It seems the 4 Film Favorite collection, which is the most easily available set, only has the Theatrical Cuts. The more expensive, older set also seems to only include the Theatrical Cuts.

I'm willing to buy the movies individually, but I seem to be having a hard time finding which releases of each movies are directors cuts (with DTS).

Thanks in advance!

To my knowledge, at least for the North American releases, none of the films' Blu-rays feature the Director's Cuts - I could be wrong but I've been waiting for those as well and haven't seen them come out so I've held onto my DVDs

I'm pretty sure all Blu-ray editions are the theatrical cuts only. The "Director's Cuts" were never really director's cuts. They were just a DVD sales gimmick to shove unneeded extra footage into the movies. I believe Richard Donner has stated that the theatrical cuts are his actual director's cuts and he prefers the Blu-rays to be the original versions.

Thanks! If that is what Richard Donner feels, then I won't be hunting down the "Director's Cuts", though I'm curious about the scenes that were cut.

Zavvi has a great deal on the 5 disc box set, and with shipping to the U.S. it is cheaper than buying the 4 Film Favorite version on Amazon with Prime shipping

I might have to grab the DVDs at some point, like I did with the version of Halloween that has the color timing I prefer.

To my memory, the only film with anything significant is the first Lethal Weapon and its introduction of Riggs at an active shooter scene. Otherwise they're full of material that don't really change anything or impact the story much.

The cut content from the first film is the only one I've heard details about, I'm not sure what was cut from the others. I've heard about that scene, and I'm curious to see it.

Hopefully it's included in the 5 disc set I ordered, as some sort of extra content.

Supposedly the Steelbook sold on Zavvi is the "Director's Cut" but as Josh and others have indicated - either doesn't add much or that Donner preferred the original theatrical cuts.

Yeah I currently only own the "Director's Cuts" of the first three on DVD and they're fine, the extra stuff doesn't add or subtract anything major really, just fills in some stuff that was already implied. If I remember right I found a trilogy set of the first three Director's Cuts at Target for like $7 - it's pretty common I see it around whenever stores need filler on thier shelves - Happy Hunting!
