Maybe it's just me, but the colors look more natural in the new version (to me). In the 2009 version the skin tones are more on the yellowish/orange side.
I have the 2009 version. If the difference is only 3 minutes, I think I pass on this new one.

The new version looks much better. I may have to double dip.

I'm actually ticked they didn't fix the Sulu glitch...how could they not know about it given a second chance to get it right?

I'm holding off on this one in the hopes of it actually coming to Ultra HD, but if it drops below $10, I might snag it anyway.

I kind of dig the new color timing, flesh tones mostly.
I am not so much excited about the 3 more minutes as I am the new 4K scan. This upgrade alone would make me consider buying all of the Treks again.
If it were not for the awful adult-coloring-book inspired cover art I would very strongly consider buying this, saw it at Walmart last week actually which is huge because they generally do not post catalog titles on the new release section.

Thanks for the review, as an owner of the box set, I'll pass on this as well. No interest in what sounds like at best a lateral move.

Ditto Got them all already and I'm not a big enough Trek fan to care really
