Michael S. Palmer has reviewed 'Deadpool'. Here's what he thought...

Yeah, I liked the movie pretty well. Was an enjoyable romp and I hope the trend of R Rated superhero movies gain traction with this and that Wolverine movie in the works.

As usual though, movie 'ugly but not really' is an overreaction on-screen. They acted like he was horrifically maimed beyond recognition, but it just looked like he suffered from some (admittedly pretty bad) burns. He wasn't quite so pretty anymore, but he still looked like Ryan Reynolds.

I hate Deadpool as a character, but this movie was great. Probably my third favorite movie of the year so far.

Which makes sense given in the comics he said that's what he looks like.

Can anyone tell me if this movie will be available as a UHD Blu Ray? I thought that maybe this review would mention this fact four or five times and go out of its way to inform all of us lowly Blu Ray users how much better it will look in this new format...but I guess not.

Hey, @Gloobey. Saw your comment. Literally laughed out loud... before sensing your displeasure. Totally not my intention to make BD owners feel bad, but rather to as honestly as possible compare and contrast what's available, something I made a habit of doing when reviewing 3D vs 2D releases (here's one example: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/1339...theapes3d.html).

I hope that makes sense. Cheers and thanks so much for reading.
