E has reviewed 'Back to the Future Trilogy: 30th Anniversary Edition'. It's pretty heavy. Here's the scoop...

Anyone have pictures of this set opened and how it looks?

Because I paid so little for the previous set I may double dip for this.

If it's looks that you want, you'll want the Complete Adventures:
Spoiler

Or the Steelbook:

Target in-store (online order & in-store pickup works) & no.

(Ignore the only as Best Buy part; that's Canada.)

So glad it used the same transfers as before, wallet needed a break before the coming weeks releases really heat up.

Agreed. Now that I know the transfers are identical, no need to double-dip for me. Great work on the review, E.

I still haven't opened the UK version I got for $14.00 shipped a couple years ago. I thought I remembered people complaining about the transfer back then.

I got the UK version as well, and the transfer looks fine to me. Then again, this is a Universal Blu we are talking about. As far as Universal discs are concerned, its one of the best.

That doesn't mean the transfer is perfect, but it looks fine to me. Colors are vibrant and pop, flesh tones are natural, good contrast in night shots, no black crush, no banding, no noise, fine detail can be seen. There seems to be some DNR applied, but it appears to be light, as there is still enough grain left to make it feel like a film.

The UK version also didn't have that problematic case design that the US version had.

I was hoping the complete UK set would be less expensive, just like the regular set. But no.... 59.99. Dang.
