Gein was more of a body snatcher than a "serial killer."

Great review, Bryan. This was a disturbing film, and Roberts Blossom played his character perfectly. Another great release by Kino overall, but that interview extra sure was strange; the editing of it in particular. It was almost as if Kino got that footage from Youtube or something. The interviews they produce themselves are usually pretty good and look MUCH more professional than what they have supplied here.

In a time where, when released ,Texas Chainsaw Massacre was king of shock and horror, it's easy to see why Deranged was passed by. Deranged had a few good moments in it, but on the whole it really wasn't a very good movie.
Imo, a much more satisfying "Ed Gein" movie would be the year 2000 film, "Ed Gein", starring Steve Railsback.
