Default 'Detroit Rock City' - High-Def Digest Review

Bryan has reviewed 'Detroit Rock City'. He says this film is still a blast after 16 years. The Blu-ray is highly recommended. Here's why...

Usually back catalog Blu-rays like this have mediocre transfers. I was expecting to see a 3 for the video section. A near perfect audio/video score makes me excited to upgrade.

Nice to see this catalog title get an amazing PQ presentation. Just wish Warner showed the same decency with Empire Records....

I used to like this movie, but looking back it's painful a reminder of the dull times I came of age in for music, the 90's ugh. Yeah I don't like KISS either outside a small handful of songs that are decent, but the rest of the music in the movie is killer.

KISS is a joke now, but to say that 70's KISS is anything less than stellar is maddening.

The movie was well done, and Detroit Rock City remake was the last time anyone will ever hear the magic that is Paul, Gene, Ace, and Peter.

A real tragedy in my book, but for whatever it was, this film captured a feeling right down to 70's Elvis and I am happy to see it finally released. That and the Donnas are pretty cool too.
