My local independent cinema was all set to show this one, then when it got really good buzz the distributor yanked it and gave it a multiplex run. It's a shame, because I wanted to see it, but I'm not going to pay the multiplex ticket price. So I guess it will be a renter.

I hope your local independent is able to get it back - it's worth the theatrical experience - nothing quite like watching it in a big dark room

Saw this, not bad and I have a sneaking suspicion as to what "it" is but I won't spoiler it for anyone who doesn't want to know.

I saw this twice at our local independent. Will definitely buy. Very awesome Carpenter vibe.

I did get to see this on the big screen at my independent cinema and I really liked it. It did remind me a lot of Carpenter's 'Christine' the way it channelled teen sexuality into horror. The score is by the guy who did the score for that videogame 'Fez' and he gets a great intense Carpenter vibe going with the music.

I dug the weird mishmash era in which it takes place. The director took different pieces from the 70s through present day to create this world, but none of it ever called attention to itself. Maybe younger people will watch it and find it strange since it's possible they've never seen a tube television in their lives. But I liked it.

I was freaked out by it because they shot it in places and areas in and around Detroit that I used to hangout, and going in I didn't know they even shot it in Michigan at all, so that added to the creepiness for me.
