Matthew has reviewed 'Carrie / The Rage: Carrie 2'. He says this release is definitely for fans, but it's worth a look for those willing to give it a try. Here's why...

So, was Carrie filmed in 1080p, or was it an up-convert?

I remember really liking Emily Bergl in the sequel, but probably not enough to get me to watch it again at this point.

My gather just from looking at things is this is an upconvert - I'll be posting up more screenshots later

So Scream/Shout! Factory put both movies on separate discs and gave them some new extras, while they put Eddie and The Cruisers 1 and 2 on a single disc and produced NO new features for them. SMH.

Considering the stand-alone DVD of Carrie (2002) is around $20 new, I don't think anyone can complain about the price point of this double feature set.

Saw this on TV way back then. I plan to buy this one for sure. And maybe Eddie & The Cruisers too (more for the music).
