Default High-Def Digest's Essential Picks: March 2015

For March, we're covering an epic journey through the stars, the latest entry in a blockbuster franchise, and a taut historical thriller.

I actually liked the last Hunger Games. In fact, I watched it last night. I know a lot of people don't like films that abruptly stop, with a cliffhanger, but since I knew of the complaints some people had, it helped prepare me for it. This is one of the few cliffhangers that I thought a studio did well.

Spoiler
is she going to kill Peeta, or is she going to let untie him, try to befriend him, get hurt again? I haven't read the books and really don't want to know the answers, until the next film comes out. Those are just questions I thought of when the credits rolled. I probably would like to see her just kill him, out of pity and because he is a danger to the cause.

The film is pretty doom and gloom though.

I might pick up Imitation Game based on the review, have already picked up the other two.
Honorable mentions? Hobbit, Song of the Sea, Exodus ???

I have all of these, though I haven't gotten around to actually watching Mockingjay Part 1. Honestly, I'm not THAT into the Hunger Games movies.

I also don't like the trend of splitting a movie in half (or more, as is the case with the Hobbit). It all started with The Deathly Hallows, right? At least, it popularized it...
