Default 'Hello, Dolly!' - High-Def Digest Review

Matthew Hartman has reviewed ‘Hello, Dolly!’ He says this movie is pure fun from start to finish. With eye-opening picture, impressive audio, and a few extras, this Blu-ray is recommended.

Unfortunately, this classic will be known to audiences who've never seen it as "that film from WALL-E".

...Maybe it's a good sign then that I'd actually forgotten about Wall-E since I was introduced to this movie?

Fun fact: this is my hyperconservative Father's favorite movie, and I'm the gay one.

That said, I am totally buying this.

Default Not My Fav, However

Although I hardly share the enthusiasm about this property (Broadway or Hollywood), there's no denying it's a joy to look at all the beauty, and take-in the fine audio mix.

Also, you might wish to have your tape measure re-calibrated, as the aspect ratio of the presentation is exactly as it should be for a transfer from a 65mm print = 2.21:1 not 2.35:1.

Actually, I'd say it's pretty fortunate. Better Hello, Dolly be known as "that film from Wall-E" than the film that killed big budget Hollywood musicals, as was its earlier reputation.
