I saw this one along with Wild at TIFF. In some ways, both films are similar, especially with the sardonic protagonist needing to come to peace with his/her parent and to forgive him/herself.

I loved the movie. Pleasant surprise, I saw the running time and thought "fuck" but it kept me engaged the whole time. RDJ was awesome as always.

Is that Vincent D'Onofrio in one of the screengrabs? Since he's not on the cover it's gotta be a very minor role?

He plays RDJ's brother. Mid-size role.

Vincent should have stayed with tv as thus far, the movie roles he's been in do not go beyond medium. Will I eat my words in two years? I doubt it.

He has nearly as much screen time as Duvall. I would say that 'mid-size role' is an underestimation. It's a very important role, too.

Watched it recently and I thought it was pretty good.
As for PQ, well, nowhere near good for me. Some scenes can look very nice and others were too noisy and lacking detail with too much grain. My setup is pretty demanding on PQ so only the best of the best makes me happy, like Fury is a good example of great PQ, The Avengers, etc.
In any case, I recommend this one..interesting and not what I expected at all but in a good way.
