It will sell for two reasons and not for it being a 'great' movie.

1) Dinosaurs on the cover
2) One of Robin Williams' last performances

3) Completists who got the first 2 films cheap.

This was originally advertised as a 3D film, but obviously, North America isn't getting it that way. Was it ever released theatrically, anywhere, in 3D?

I don't believe this was ever a 3D movie. I don't recall it being advertised that way. The IMDb specs say nothing about 3D, nor does this realorfake3d.com.

Washington post
Eventful list it as an IMAX 3D film
Youtube 3D trailer (may not be official, may be autoconversion but definitely has some depth?)
Toronto.com lists it as a 3D film too
Reel cinemas UK lists it as 3D

Zavvi 3D Blu-ray pre-order.

It's on zavvi as a pre-order. I replied to the message earlier, but I guess I had too many links referencing the 3D and have to wait 'approval'.

I don't see any reference to 3D here:
http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/night-a.../11051890.html

They do call it "Night at the Museum 3," though. You sure you didn't misread?

Not mention of 3D at Amazon UK either.
