Default 'Pocketful of Miracles' - High-Def Digest Review

David Krauss has reviewed Frank Capra's 'Pocketful of Miracles'. Despite some length and story issues, he says this heaping helping of Capra-corn satisfies. With very good video, solid audio, and skimpy extras, this is worth a look.

Default Let's Not Rush Things, Here

"But would Capra-corn, the cynical nickname for the director's wholesome, moral, and unashamedly sentimental pictures, still sell in the rebellious 1960s?"

Okay, technically 1961 is in the 1960's, but let's not kid ourselves - 1961 clearly resembled the 1950's way more than what would later become known as the "rebellious 1960's".

Arguementatively I would place the John F. Kenneday assassination and the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show about 2- months later (February 9, 1964), as the "beginning" of the 'rebellious 60's'.
