MAN I HATE THIS.

Judgment at Nuremberg is a fine movie. I hat that it is probably going to get that "limited" run crap.

Fine film though it may be, a movie like Judgment at Nuremberg is extremely unlikely to sell out, at least not quickly. You'll have plenty of opportunity to buy it.

Is the price your real objection? Because I see you celebrating Criterion's new release announcements for catalog titles that will retail for $39.99 in one thread, and bemoaning Twilight Time's new release announcements for catalog titles that will retail for $29.95 in this one. Something to ponder.

Probably Twilight Time's finest crop of releases for a month. Criterion fans would be thrilled if those same movies were announced on that label instead. Twilight Samurai is probably my favorite Japanese movie of all time.

BTW, you forgot to include Flaming Star on that list.

Yep, that's the difference. Buying only during Criterion's flash sales, I pay an average of $18.00 per $39.95 movie (don't have to pay tax either). Whereas with Twilight Time, most of my purchases are part of the monthly signed bonus promotion, so you get one movie free out of five. That's as good as it gets (outside that one-time sale celebrating their 3 year anniversary), and it comes out to about $128.00 for 5 movies shipped, or, $25.60 per movie.

They rarely go 'on sale' here in Canada (personally I've never seen a sale). I just wait and see if Amazon.ca ever drops the pre-order price down. Got The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night for $26.99 which I thought was pretty good. Just snagged Watership Down this morning for under $24 before they jacked up the price to $32! I got lucky.

I'd love to get 'When the Wind Blows' from Twilight Time, but not at their prices unfortunately.

I hate Criterions prices as well as Twilight Times. Even when they go on sale their usually overpriced.
