Default 'Y tu mamá también' - High-Def Digest Review

Steven Cohen has reviewed the Criterion release of 'Y tu mamá también'. He says this is a funny and insightful cinematic road trip. The video and audio presentations on this Blu-ray are both exceptional. The supplements are also informative. This is highly recommended.

Just got this yesterday. Fantastic film. I am so glad I purchased this. Working on extras. It is a really well made film and I nice follow-up to Gravity.

This movie is so good. It's cool to see Criterion put out a great Blu-ray release. I can't afford it right now, but I'll get it sometime.

I would classify this movie as a 'gay interest' film.

I wouldn't.. I'd classify it as a great film coming of age film that most viewers with minds open to diverse stories can appreciate.

Let's see. A couple of guys jacking off into a pool. That was the scene that did this one in for me. Sold it on eBay.

Really? Did you burn Pulp Fiction cause it had a man rape scene? Maybe you acid melted Deliverance?

Anyway, back to subject. Just watched this film recently on my Criterion copy. Always thought the film was very well done. Much like Amelie it had a very interesting style. Very inventive like a lot of foreign films.

I thought the ending was very well done, and it is one of those films that has resonance long after the film leaves your eyes. Bittersweet really.
