Default 'Viva Las Vegas: 50th Anniversary Digibook' -- High-Def Digest Review

Steve has reviewed 'Viva Las Vegas.' He says it's pretty much the same disc as before, just now in digibook form.

John Wayne was a fine actor.
It was natural for him. Like Jimmy Stewart.

The Quiet Man, The Searchers, The Shootist.
If you are looking for someone to urinate on themselves or cry with snot coming out of their nose and be some method acting idiot no he was not that.
I just kind of get tired seeing slams at John Wayne in movie reviews.

I think Jimmy Stewart had far more range than John Wayne. The review was correct that John Wayne brought a persona to his roles. Like...a John Wayne movie is a John Wayne movie. Jimmy Stewart's filmography goes beyond being labeled like that.

EDIT: I'm not knocking John Wayne here, I'm just saying that those two actors are pretty different in style and variety of roles.

Elvis luckily made movies that are even better than Viva Las Vegas:

-Flaming star: a great western
-Love me tender: his first film, also a western
-King Creole: a musical drama
-Jailhouse rock: great musical drama too
