Someone spoiled Saw 2 for me before I could see it, so I've only seen the first. I've had no desire other than to see Saw. After that, the others just sounded like more of the same, but worse.

Only a 3-disc set??? REALLY???

Here in Canada, Alliance released Saw 1-3 on blu-ray in a 2-disc set (Saw 1 & 2 on disc 1 and Saw 3 on disc 2). No special features but they all had 5.1 DTS HD-MA tracks. Do you think Lionsgate will be upgrading to lossless audio for this set as well, or just going to recycle the same lossy tracks as before?

I have heard that seeing one Saw movie is like seeing any other Saw movie. Same plot, minor changes in the details.

The first movie was fucking awesome, and I hate porn violence. It wasn't that overt as the later ones(more later) but the plot was just awesome at the time. The movie really blew me away, I was so impressed. Just an all out well done movie.

Saw 2 was very good, not like the first but I like it.

Saw 3 was just stupid, and it seemed liked they just did it to extend the porn violence. I had to stop it mid way because I couldn't take the violence.

The next few were not that good but I DID like how they tried to relate them all back to the previous movies. If you have the time I would definitely see them all, especially in 1 sitting on a nice rainy or snowy day.

Just replying to myself - are there not seven (7) Saw movies?

Yes, 7 total with part 7 being in 3D. I am assuming that the version included in this set will not contain it though.

I thought the first 3 films were pretty good with the first being by far the best. I especially liked the way Saw 3 wrapped everything up from the first three films. Saw 4 sucked big time but they somewhat righted the ship on Saw 5. The last two were decent but nothing even close to the first three. But for anyone that has not seen any of these, you could watch 1-3 and quit since the quality severely drops after those.

I'll pass.

1. Only the first three movies are any good with the first being the best.
2. It comes out on the same day as Halloween CC, Attack on Titan 2, and the Ghostbusters Digibook.

How is that different than any other horror franchise though? If you have seen one Friday the 13th, you have seen them all. If you have seen one Halloween, you have seen them all. If you have seen one Nightmare on Elm Street, you have seen them all. The only thing that changes are the name of the characters.

Saw started the torture porn craze. The first Saw does the movie intelligently though. It's like watching a Nine Inch Nails video more than a torture porn movie.

I dont understand your sentence?
Yes I hate extreme violence but even I can admit Saw was an excellent movie. Why can't I admit a movie can be good even though it has extreme graphic violence? Hostel I thought was well received all around?

Yah I agree with dark. But it wouldn't hurt to see them all

Torture porn that's the term I was looking for. Yes I agree completely with Kain, the first Saw did do it intelligently and not overt and just to please the audience which started happening in Saw 3 IMO

Didn't Lindsey Lohan do a torture porn movie?
