Default 'Joe' - High-Def Digest Review

Our review of 'Joe' has just been posted. This is an amazing film containing one of Nic Cage's best roles. The Blu-ray's video and audio presentations are both top notch and the extras are very good. Highly recommended!

...not to be confused with the great 1970 pic "Joe" starring Peter Boyle....

Wowzers, for awhile people were saying that Cage was only accepting roles for the money, without reading the script, and they've all been stinkers.

So to me, this might be worth a look : )

Every few years Cage comes out swinging and reminds many of us why we loved him at one point. Kick Ass was probably the last time for me although I dug Drive Angry too.

Nic Cage was always a great actor. Yeah, he chose a lot of terrible movies. And he did some terrible or boring performances. But then so did Marlon Brando. Cage made enough movies with good to great performances to prove he was much more capable than he was giving.

Saw this last night, excellent film. The fact that Gary Poulter was literally hired of the streets is mind blowing. His performance was remarkable.
