Default 'Rollerball' (1975) - High-Def Digest Review

Gordon has reviewed Norman Jewison's 'Rollerball' (1975). He says this Blu-ray will certainly satisfy the film's fans, and it should please the curious.

I always wanted to see this. How do other readers' thoughts compare to the reviewer's?

I need to buy this. Didn't know John Houseman was in it or would have bought it already. Really don't have the funds though, right now.

It's a very 70's movie, both in look and in feel, and I feel it's one of my favorites in the 70's dystopian future genre and it's aged well, I'm glad to see it in HD.

So I give it a thumbs up.

That one sold out fast. I wonder how long The Mechanic (w/ Charles Bronson) will last.

I hesitated on this. Ultimately decided that I don't need to own it. Currently wavering on The Mechanic as well.

Thanks. I would have eventually pulled the trigger, but now that it's sold out I'm SOL. Perhaps a cheaper or similarly priced foreign release will come along. Really, $10-15 is what I'd rather pay for a movie of this caliber that I haven't seen yet.

Rollerball is currently on sale for $14.99 at Screen Archives. Use coupon code SHIPPING10 for ten percent off the already minor shipping charges.
