Default '3 Days to Kill' - High-Def Digest Review

Shannon has reviewed '3 Days to Kill'. He says this is worth a rental. Here's why...

I've been looking forward to seeing this. From the review, I'm glad this isn't totally an attempt to turn Costner into current-Neison. Frankly, the best actor for THAT kind of movie is Gibson.

Anyway, glad to see this is at least rental material, as that's just what I was looking from this film. It seems harder to find quality rentals lately.

Didn't read the review, but I enjoyed the movie.

I just can't see Costner as a CIA agent

If they had more quality, they would no longer be rentals, but be buys instead.

Haha, good point!

But I'm looking for some solid 65% Fresh titles, as they all can't be blind buy quality.

It's funny to me that you want more of your blind dates to be 6s and not 10s.
The fear of buying commitment is so much that you prefer mediocrity.

I guess there was a point in my 20s that I felt that way. There were a few
buddies of mine that we all agreed to stay "single" for a while, so we can
party together and not have a girlfriend frowning upon our exploits. Of course,
one of us would meet a "10" and the pact was immediately dissolved.

A year later, the "10" would inevitably be only rental quality. Blu-ray Must-
Buys are so much more reliable.

Blu-rays, a metaphor for women? Duh.

I liked this movie when I saw it in the theater. I found it to be one of those films that is easy to watch and you just don't think too hard about it. I will get it and watch it again from time to time.

Oh, for a blind buy I'd shoot for a "10".

For a quick fix on a Saturday night, I'd be happy with a solid "6.5"...considering how many "3"s there are out there lately!

Saw this over the weekend and found nothing to enjoy about it. The characters were all too unbelievable and uninteresting, and the 'plot' was arguably worse.

I have always been a Costner fan, and was hoping that this might be a good comeback vehicle for him, but it seems to have had the opposite effect. Not that I blame him for this waste of 2 hours... I am looking straight at Besson and McG in that regard!

How can the guy who gave us Leon and The Fifth Element have fallen from grace so hard??
