Default 'Crocodile Dundee / Crocodile Dundee II' - High-Def Digest Review

Shannon has reviewed 'Crocodile Dundee / Crocodile Dundee II'. He says the original movie still holds up. This release is best for fans. Here's why...

Default Better than average

While I will not be buying this set due to quality and lack of features, I LOVED both of these films. While the villains in 2 were pretty goofy and overblown, the adventure in the Outback in 2 is just as good as the adventure in New York City in 1.

Would love to have a 2 disc special edition with full audio/video treatment and tons of extras. These movies did make a household name out of Paul Hogan. Far more than the Australian tourism videos, these films made America say "G'day, mate!" until it was annoying.

And who doesn't fondly remember the whole, "That's not a knife" scenario?? Nostalgia rules!!

I like the sequence in Part II where the gang drives down with Mick to rescue her at the druglord's house. Good music and funny parts.

As was said earlier, I thought the villians in 2 were goofy stereotypical 80s druglords but I really like the movie overall. IMO it's better than the 1st one and it worked because it flipped the whole concept of the 1st movie around.

If they were going to toss in the second (as they did), they might as well have added the 3rd installment.

I might grab this. My stepdad has the first on DVD, but not the second (let alone the third).

Looks like the release date was changed without notice. These are now coming out next week.

This made me LOL.

Nothing wrong with 80s nostalgia. I have been rewatching Miami Vice show.

I loved these two movies when I was younger and I so had the hots for Linda Kozlowski.

Seems I am not the only one who has fond memories of the sequel! I would also prefer it, just slightly, to the first, however I can probably see why it would have less appeal to the masses.

Never enjoyed Part III though.
