I want 'Rollerball' and 'The Mechanic' for sure.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

I'm looking forward to picking up the following:
The Man from Laramie - Awesome western starring Jimmy Stewart
Used Cars - Haven't seen it in years but remember it as being funny.

The Train - Possible blind buy for me because it's a war film and Burt Lancaster.

Two Rode Together - Another Stewart film that I may blind buy
Mr Hobbs Takes A Vacation - Another possibility. Never seen this one, but with Stewart and O'Hara in the same movie, it must be good.

All titles will be $29.95 with just an isolated score as supplement

The Mechanic is the only film I know on that list.

I can't wait to nab Broadway Danny Rose. Looks like Twilight Time is going to be getting a lot of my money if they're the go to studio for Woody Allen releases.

Thunderbirds for me. Does Twilight Time really think 3,000 copies will be enough? Maybe if they sold through someone other than Screen Archives, or did some sort of advertising, maybe they might sale more.

They also sell through TCM and a few small local retailers in a few select locations supposedly, but it's definitely not like there are enough copies for best buy, china mart, target, or amazon to get them. I'm considering getting Thunderbirds as well.

It won't be enough for The Train. That one is going to sell out quickly.

3000 copies through tightly controlled distribution is their business model. The theory is that if titles aren't discounted via letting the market decide the prevailing street price, and advertising a 3000 production limit, then it will entice collectors to buy earlier and with the feeling that they'll hold their value well (whether that latter sentiment is justified, only time will tell).

I can't believe they don't have any pre-order links up for these yet.
