Default Impressive Monster House

I watched my first truly impressive BD movie this weekend. Monster House was a great movie (I'm a child of the 80's and it took me back.), but the PQ was outstanding the sound was top notch even on my suck box DD 5.1 system. Lets hope for more good titles coming out of my Netflix queue.

I got this on Netflix and I was blown away by how good it was, so I bought it.

I bought it when I found out about the Disney sale on Amazon. I'm looking forward to it arriving. Thanks for the info.

I think it's an adventure in the vein of The Goonies. You know, childhood adventure where everything is larger than life.

This is one title I have been meaning to buy for a while. I woudl have been all over it sooner had I not already owned the SDVD of it. I will get the BD soon though.

hmm i've never really found animated movies like monsters house to look much better in HD than in SD. You sure it doesn't look just as great in sd?

ok i just got my ps3 today, and I rented monster house and prestige.

I have never seen a movie in HD before, but is it just me or did I expect too much?

I mean yea it looks good, but it's not what i expected.

I used to watch movies on my 360 via vga cable and some movies looked really really good like CARs.

and I'm not a videophile so bear with me, but what is the like in the background of the movies you see like staticy type stuff moving, like its not totally smooth? I see it on sd dvd and blu ray

That's called "film grain" - it's supposed to be there.
