So far, the 3D blu-ray prices are currently:

US version $40
German version $40 ($47.50 for the steelbook)
UK region-free version $25.49 ($32.07 for the region-free steelbook)

If the US version doesn't come down to less than $25 before release, I'll be ordering the UK steelbook. This is one of my most highly anticipated blu-ray 3D releases, but I'm not paying $40 for it.

So glad I did see this 2 weeks ago in the last days of its theatrical run.
It wasn't on IMAX anymore (Hobbit 2 or Walking with Dinosaurs took
those screens), but it was still amazing.

Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to see this again on 3D Blu.

Kind of disappointed at the cover art. The baggy space suits in an
out-of-focus image is a poor choice.

Perhaps seeing the face of Sandra Bullock somewhere on the cover
would be better?

I think the image of a close up on Sandra's crying face with weightless
tears floating around her; yeah, that's my choice.

It'll be one of those films that gets revival nights. Don't worry. It's a massive achievement in cinematography and direction. The story is a bit weak...but I have a feeling it was all about execution, and it's flawless in that department.

It's a better cinematic experience than Avatar. Especially in the case of proving 3D's worth.

I think it is the best 3d movie i ever watched. The effects were pretty stunning and i just loved it. I hope more movies like this are being made.

I thought the story was fantastic. Minimalist survival horror via Jules Verne. The film was everything I could have asked for in a movie, making it easily my favorite of the year.

I have the DVD screener here at my house, sent from the studio. Yeah, after watching that this is THE movie that must be seen in theaters on the biggest screen possible. It's fun to watch at home, but the experience isn't a fraction of what it's like on the big screen.

Very true. I saw it in plain ol' 3D and it was pretty stunning on the big screen.

I want to own it, but my buy price is 10 bucks because it won't be the same experience. So I'll wait - they ALL hit 10 bucks with few exceptions.

and if the back cover is correct - for some dumb reason Warner Home Video has encoded the audio only at 5.1 and not it's original base 7.1 mix. [I'm livid]
