I bought it with the same reservations you had. I am glad I did buy it. Yeah...seeing Sly back in his famous role at his age was a bit unerving to me at first. But...I thought the story was decent enough. The real star of this film is the main fight. They used digital cameras and it shows. ABSOLUTELY GOREGOUS!!!! Makes great demo material to your friends but the movie was good as well. I dont have any regrets buying it and I think that if your thinking about buying it you should. You will probably be glad you did. Hope this helps. Let me know what you think.

I think hes talking about the original Rocky, not Rocky Balboa. In my experience the HD version of a movie is always better looking than the SD DVD. I was a bit worried about Caddyshack but I bought it and it's still loads better than the DVD I watched despite the lower rating. I'd say if you have the money and you really like the movie go for it.

I have Rocky on BD. It is what it is. It is a better picture but lots of grain. In part to how old it was. If you were a die hard fan I would say get it. If not maybe they will remaster it and rerelease it again.

Rocky series is probably my favorite movies of all time, but i didnt buy Rocky since there could be "The Rocky Collection" (Rocky 1-5 or 1-6) but i did get
Rocky Balboa, the feel of it wasnt like the other rockys but i did like it.
