This just validates my firm belief that some movies are best remembered as 1 movie instead of sequel-factories. American Pie is another comedy that should've been one and done.

See I liked American Pie 2 and Reunion. However 3 sucked the big one.

"If you were a fan of the raunchy humor of the first two films, this sequel is going to be a huge letdown. However, if your attraction to the first couple of movies had more to do with the characters than the situations they were in, 'Part III' could certainly be your cup of tea. Either way, 'The Hangover Part III' is far from the disaster you've heard it to be – it's just not the movie that everyone expected."

Like someone else mentioning American Pie Reunion, by this 3rd film of
Hangover, it is more about the characters for me. The Wolfpack has
become characters that I like. I actually did like that the 3rd wasn't
simply a rerun of the 1st & 2nd films. But I can understand why it was
a letdown for those who didn't care about the Wolfpack characters.

We like the characters... but we liked them when they were funny.

This movie didn't even attempt humor.

The only attempt I assume was the beheading... and that scene probably ruined my enjoyment of the rest of it.

The only thing I can add is: WHAT A STINKER! Part 1 was one of the funniest movies ever. Part 2 was a copy of part 1 without the humor, Part 3 is an embarrassment. Not funny, not a good story. All the actors looked like they were bored the whole time. Studios should know when to stop.
