Loathed by many (including the respected Luke Hickman), but I liked it. Great fun!

I'll probably watch it when it is streaming on Netflix, but that is it. It looked awful since the first trailer and from what I have been told, it was just barely worth a one time watch.

The film is turrible. Absolutely turrible. Jack slays more than just giants in this one.

'Jack the Giant Slayer' tells the story of an ancient war that's reignited when a young farmhand (Hoult) unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants.

saw this in the theater -- was a capable movie actually until it hit the bolded part. The race of giants brought this way down, most of them sucked, it just diluted the movie.. should have stuck with ONE, it would have made the movie more personable.

I thought it was alright. Not the best movie but entertaining, especially for kids. Didn't deserve to lose money.

One of the major problems that the studios don't get is releasing big budget films in the late winter, early spring is just asking for a disaster. They didn't learn anything from John Carter last yr. Yeah they can make back money lost in theater runs with DVD, Blu , Netflix, Redbox ect.... At least release those big budget films in seasons that give them a chance to do well . Bottom line..... make better films & cut down on those ridiculous budgets.
