Why? It won't be out until Feb of next year. That is too soon to preorder something.

I love the show, but I am holding off on the blu-rays until it is over. You KNOW there is going to be a huge box set that has everything. And I am gonna buy one.

Edit:

I changed my mind. The show is supposed to go at least 7 seasons, and some sources are saying as many as 9. I'm not waiting that long to watch a great show in blu-ray quality. Also, the second season is on sale for $36.99 right now, so I went ahead and ordered the first two seasons.

I also wanted to "vote with my wallet" and support the show now, while it's being produced. Looking forward to experiencing it all over again next week!

Did they ever make a fancy/collector's set for season 2 like they did for season 1?

Not a collector's set, but there are special versions that come with a certain house's sigil instead of the regular cover.

Nope, there isn't enough Bush head to go around for Season 2 to bother.

"Deadwood" [3 seasons] & "Rome" [2 seasons] are pass HBO period series that didn't last long.
"The Sopranos" only lasted six seasons, "Six Feet Under" only 5 seasons, and were successes.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" may make 9 seasons; however I can't see HBO paying the bill for "GoT" longer than the "Sopranos" and as long or longer (as of now) than "CYE".
Hope they do tho!!!

Thanks - as with Season one, very pricey individual house covers. Then they came out with a cover that encompassed four on one package.

I can in this instance, because it is so incredibly popular (thanks in part to the also incredibly popular book series.) Having a hot property like that is like printing money if you have the means to capitalize on it. Hell, HBO just got $90 out of me for 2 seasons, and I almost never buy TV shows.

Also, look at True Blood. I doubt it's as popular as GoT and it's already on season 6.

Two eps in, and season 3 will need to get a lot more interesting to entice me to buy. Not sure about anyone else's opinion, but the first two eps have been rather boring.
