I enjoyed this movie, but not enough to buy it. It had some great moments in it, but the last half hour did get very cliche. Still, this is definitely worth at least renting.

Great review Aaron! Thank you.

Picking this one up Friday (3D natch). Can't wait to see this one again! My family and I loved watching this in the theaters over the Thanksgiving holiday. We always go out as a family and catch a family flick the night before Thanksgiving. This year, were looking forward to 'Frozen'.

Great review - However, the disc features a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 channel soundtrack - not a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack - the film was originally mastered for theatrical release in three formats: Dolby Atmos, Dolby Surround 7.1, and Barco 11.1.

Picked this up today as a blind buy, I've heard very good things about this one. I read an article that said that dreamworks will have to look at laying off a significant amout of people because the loss of revenue from this film. Its a shame too, as it appears this movie is a good one.

Default hmmmm

As much as I did enjoy this film, I was highly disappointed that the amazing work that William Joyce creates in his books was once again changed. I don't understand. Joyce does amazing art and story for his books but each time he sells to a studio it becomes nothing like his BEST SELLING BOOKS! He is a well known respected author, and he has created marvelous apps and short films (see his amazing short "Fantastic Flying books" ) but his major studio work is forgettable. His characters in the books we stylized and beautiful but as always his work on film became mundane (IMHO) As I said, I did enjoy some of the movie. but so disappointed he lets a commercial endevour change his wonderful creativeness. Oh, and yeah, I get it, he is making a living. so...

Sorry. My mistake. I knew that, but I get so used to typing DTS-HD Master Audio that sometimes it's just automatic. I'll edit the review.

EDIT: Changes should appear shortly.
