Default 'Zero Dark Thirty' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron Peck has reviewed 'Zero Dark Thirty.' This was his favorite movie of 2012. The Blu-ray is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Here's why...

Awesome review, Aaron. Can't wait to pick up a copy next week.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

It's a shame, this is one that could have had some amazing special features.

And this seems to have been the most historically accurate of the three films.

Agreed. The special features on this are a HUGE let down.

No commentary and only four weak special features? This one reeks of double dip.

I felt the movie was a little slow and too long. The dialogue was oddly rough in places, as though they chose to use the location sound as opposed to ADR.

I was just about to post the same. Literally, using the words 'reek' and 'double dip'. Anyway, you're right. This is obviously a quick release to take advantage of the publicity that the Academy nominations brought with them. This will get a more definitive release before the end of the year. Bigelow is too much of a perfectionist to not record a commentary.

When it comes to certainties in life, home video double dips should be added to death and taxes, lol.

I dont mind the double dip. I have zero interest in the majority of special features. I'd rather be able to get the movie now than wait 6 months for a release thats more expensive and has stuff i couldnt care less about.

I'll wait for the cable HD on demand for $4.95... doubt I'd see this more than once.
