This film looks interesting. Too bad the 3D is fake.

I'll keep an eye on this as well. The 2D version has a few reviews around the net but nothing yet for how well the 3D conversion was pulled off.

I was intrigued by the trailer for this movie, but hadn't been motivated to see it at the cinema. A Blu-ray 3D Release is mighty interesting indeed. I sense a blind buy coming...

Did this play in 3D theatrically, or is this a quickie conversion just for home video?

I can't say for sure, but when it had its quick theatrical run in my parts it was only in 2D. I'm guessing it's just a ploy to get a few more bucks out of it since it doesn't look like it did that well theatrically (only $100k domestically).

June 25th is the street date...not the 18th.

There is no stand-alone 2D version of the blu-ray. There is a blu-ray version, which has both 2D and 3D, and a combo pack with the blu-ray 2D/3D + DVD, and then a stand-alone 2D DVD. The Blu-Ray and DVD versions are priced the same ($14.99 currently). That being said, which version is everyone aiming for? Is there any reason to get (or not get) the combo pack vs the blu-ray only pack? There seems to be only a few dollars difference between the two. I'll buy the combo pack, just for collector's purposes. From the amazon pictures, it looks like the combo pack has a slip cover, while the stand-alone version doesn't.
