I feel the need...the need for a new 3D tv.

Too bad Paramount couldn't be bothered to remaster the 2D version of this film for this release - I might have been tempted to replace my HD-DVD.

You know I always read the reviews of movies like this that actually paint America and it's military in a good light and wait for the statement that it is "so rah rah American".
Am I the only one that thinks maybe that is not a bad thing once in a while?

Screw the third version of Top Gun, I want Iron Eagle on Blu Ray. Much better movie all around, certainly better flying sequences, and the bad guy was down right iconic!

I'd like to see Iron Eagle and Iron Eagle 2 as well. They can skip 3 and 4 though. Terrible.

Been meaning to pick up Top Gun for awhile and held off because I knew the 3d version was coming out. Figured I'd see how the reviews go and decide if I should pick up the 3D or the older 2D only. I'll get the 3D for sure now.

Iron Eagle is horrible. The main actor, I don't even know his name, is just horrible. What are you guys smoking?

Top Gun is American as apple pie and yes ra ra ra, America baby!

The main actor(Jason Gedrick) was 80's average, the bad guy was awesome(David Suchet), and Gossett put in one of his best performances! Tom Cruise and the entire cast of Top Gun were at their worst(except Ironside, dude is awesome whatever the movie no matter how heavy he gets), plus Iron Eagle had little to no inadvertent homosexual overtones. I love Tony Scott movies don't get me wrong, but Top Gun is the bottom of the barrel.

Iron Eagle 2, 3, 4? Those aren't found in my memory banks.

Not to mention the characters in Iron Eagle have purpose, his dad is kidnapped and they go in to rescue him with planning, strategy and determination. What were they doing in Top Gun? I've seen that movie like 6 times in my life and I couldn't tell you why any of the characters did anything, aside from food sex with Kelly McGillis, that I get.

Iron Eagle had plenty of homo-eroticism in it. I mean, it is nowhere near to the extent that Top Gun has (Top Gun making the #1 spot), but it definitely does have a fair share of it. I mean there is a dance routine pretty much in the movie where Lou Gossett dances and then makes one of his friends talk to him while he's in the shower. Plus, doesn't he give a mix tape of love to the kid? I mean, 'it's there. I won't even get into some of the dialogue.
