Default 'Zombie Flesh Eaters (UK Import)' - High-Def Digest Review

We've just reviewed 'Zombie Flesh Eaters (UK Import)' This two-disc Blu-ray from Arrow Video features fantastic video and excellent audio. Best of all is a bevy of insightful bonus material that will keep fans occupied for hours, making the overall package highly recommended.

A great review for what is a really excellent release across the board. Hopefully Arrow will turn out more transfers of the quality of ZFE. The only fly in the ointment though is a 6 second encoding error due to the seamless branching from the title sequences. This means that 6 seconds of the boat entering NYC are missing (not the case on the DVD version). Many seem unfazed by this but Arrow have announced that there will be a disc replacement programme for those who want it.

Limey, there was a release in Austria with two different covers:

Both releases include 1 DVD and 1 BD. As usual on Mediabooks, there is a book or booklet included with pictures and informations about the production.

Thanks for the terrific review of a fantastic set guys! I only discovered Arrow Films last summer but am building up a nice collection of their wonderful catalog.

One question tho: Do you folks plan on reviewing more Arrow titles? I sure hope so!

I would suspect that they used the LVR transfer that was also used for the earlier BU release. The Arrow transfer is unique to their release (unfortunately currently sans 6 seconds).

I have so many new movies to watch but after reading this review I will put this movie very high up in my list. Can't wait for some classic Fulci. Back in the day I saw the heavily censored german version with about 20 minutes missing...
