I was pretty sad to see that families flocked to go see the garbage known as Hotel Transylvania over the far superior Frankenweenie. It just goes to show how crappy mainstream America's taste in movies can really be. Hey, it's got Adam Sandler, let's go see it kids! DERP!

I love this movie. It totally reminds me of the Tim Burton us 80's kids grew up with. So many subtle nods to classic horror movies as well as some of Burton's best earlier films. I get pretty emotional when it's Sparky's "time" though. Such a good movie. It looks amazing on blu ray, and the 3D is pretty good too. The score to this film is like Edward Scissorhands, it brings back that same whimsical kind of mood. Frankenweenie will definitely pick up steam as the years roll on, just like Nightmare Before Christmas. I hope that Tim Burton never stops doing stop motion movies, he is a master. This is a must own blu ray for me and my wife.

Being a dog lover, the whole dog element hooked me in and even got me choked up a few times. Good movie.

A/V was good, but nothing demo worthy in light of the competition.

Overall I enjoyed it, but am glad I rented as I just dont see any repeat value for myself with this film.

I haven't seen this movie yet, and honestly, I'm not sure when I will. After Dark Shadows, I don't want to watch another Tim Burton movie for a loooooooong time. Plus, I already own Frankenweenie, and have since the moment I bought Nightmare Before Xmas.

"Original Live-Action Short Film (HD, 30 min) Also found on the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' Blu-ray, this is Burton's original 1984 short of the same name that inspired the full-length movie." This is in SD, not HD.

It's good. Fantastic even. I'm not a Burton fan, like at all. There's been two films since Sleepy Hollow that I've liked. Which, is this and Sweeney Todd. Everything else I've greatly disliked. This film, however, is really good. It's daring and a gorgeous looking black and white film. It will definitely test the black level of your set. It's a good looking flick.

Looked perfect on my VT50.

There's a few things I didn't care for with the film, but are so minor to what daring things he did take with it, that I let it slide. Just for keeping the film in pure B&W is ballsy enough that anything else is a nitpick. I admire him for keeping it B&W, and I bet it wasn't easy to convince Disney of that either.

Between this and Paranorman, it was a solid year in animation. If all we had was Disney's Wreck It Ralph and Pixar's Brave...I'd say it would have been a bad, bad year. I'm trying to remember what else came out this year, that only Paranorman and Frankenweenie are sticking with me.

Oh get over yourself. How are people suppose to know which film was good or bad if they hadn't seen it yet? I'm a Tim Burton fan, but even I admit that not everything Burton makes is good.

Anyway, this was an okay film.
